See https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/terminal-wg/bidi for why bidi rendering in terminals needs more control and is quite a bit to implement.
Esp. unconditionally rendering using unicode bidi will break applications that do layouting that goes beyond just letting the terminal break text at the end of the line.
