LGBTQIA+ is a group that focuses on the equal treatment of people of different sexual orientation and gender identity that's not the norm.
Both topics are controversial for their own reasons, but I think gender identity is more controversial than sexual orientation so I'll start on that.
LGBTQIA+ acronym
- Lesbian: Homosexual female
- Gay: Homosexual male or female
- Bisexual: Sexually orientated on both genders
- Transgender: Already explained
- Queer: Undecided sexual orientation
- Intersex: Intersex is a general term used for a variety of situations in which a person is born with reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn’t fit the boxes of ‘female’ or ‘male’
- Asexual: Lack of sexual attraction to others/low interest/desire in sexual activity
Sexual Orientation is the sex you can be attracted to. The LGBTQIA+ acronym covers it for the most part but I'd like to explain it myself. Obviously it doesn't mean
To be homosexual means you're sexually orientated to people of the same gender. Gay is just another way to say homosexual. To be lesbian means you're a female who's sexually orientated on other females. To be bisexual means you're sexually orientated on both genders. To be pansexual means you don't care about sex and you can be attracted to who you like. To be asexual means you have a lack of sexual attraction to others. To be autosexual means you prefer masturbation over intercrouse/you are sexually orientated on yourself. To be queer means you are still deciding your sexual orientation.
For some reason people really did not like gay people but that's mostly in the past, the main problem now is that the bible says "‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."
Gender Identity is about the gender you identify as. From what I've seen mainly wether or not you think gender identity is valid comes down to one main thing: do you believe in/understand the difference between Sex and Gender?
