Why Libertarians are Wrong, Too

This clip of Mr. Friedman explaining why communism must lead to corruption is at the heart of why Libertarian "freedom at all costs" ideologies are as retarded as Communism itself. In short, communism fails not because of some magical property of the use of force in government like Mr. Friedman contends, but rather because it misunderstands human nature. A society of saints probably could be properly Communist. However, Mr. Friedman's vision of unrestricted free-enterprise also fails for the same reason; it misunderstands human nature. Communism fails to see that humans respond to incentives largely selfishly. Libertarianism fails to see that humans respond to threats of force selfishly.

Friedman thinks that use of force or coercion on another human is itself immoral. This is retarded. If someone tries to kill my wife, and I kill him to save her, I have used force on another human for the sake of good. If the government thr

Argument for God's existence from composition

The proof from composition:

Adapted from Edward Feser

  1. The fact that the things of our everyday experience are composite, eventually leads to the conclusion that God exists.
    • (A thing is composite if it is composed of more than one distinct part.)
  2. A composite thing exists at any moment only insofar as its parts are combined at that moment.
  3. This composition of parts requires a concurrent cause. (It requires some outside thing or things to cause the parts to be combined.)
  4. So, any composite thing has a cause of its existence at any moment during which it exists.
  5. So, each of the things of our experience has a cause at any moment during which it exists. (Everything we see is being caused as we see it)

Terandria Ch 1.03

The next morning, Daniel helped with some chores, ate breakfast, helped with some more chores, and then borrowed a cart from Prenn to go pick up and deliver his charcoal. The cart was kind of a pain to pull through the brush of the forest, so it was with much noise and swearing and sweating that he finally arrived in the clearing with his charcoal mound. As he released the cart and squatted down for a breather, an arrow sailed through the air where his head has just been. Daniel jerked his head around to see where the arrow came from. Three little green men stepped out from the trees. Two were holding wicked looking knives, and one was reloading his bow. Daniel raised his hands in surrender.

"Don't shoot!"

The archer goblin drew his second arrow back a

Terandria Ch 1.02

After breakfast, Daniel drew Prenn aside to chat.

"I can't thank you enough for all you've been doing to help me. But I know I can't depend on your hospitality forever."

Prenn nodded.
