Launch Sublime Text 2 from the Mac OS X Terminal

Launch Sublime Text 2 from the Mac OS X Terminal

Sublime Text 2 ships with a CLI called subl (why not "sublime", go figure). This utility is hidden in the following folder (assuming you installed Sublime in /Applications like normal folk. If this following line opens Sublime Text for you, then bingo, you're ready.

open /Applications/Sublime\ Text\ 2.app/Contents/SharedSupport/bin/subl

You can find more (official) details about subl here: http://www.sublimetext.com/docs/2/osx_command_line.html

Step 0:

Get Homebrew installed on your mac if you don't already have it

Step 1:

Install highlight. "brew install highlight". (This brings down Lua and Boost as well)

Read URL GET variable
// Given a query string "?to=email&why=because&first=John&Last=smith"
// getUrlVar("to") will return "email"
// getUrlVar("last") will return "smith"
// Slightly more concise and improved version based on http://www.jquery4u.com/snippets/url-parameters-jquery/
function getUrlVar(key){
var result = new RegExp(key + "=([^&]*)", "i").exec(window.location.search);
return result && unescape(result[1]) || "";
}

Using Low Search for ExpressionEngine with Ajax. Change any of the three variables on top to suit your needs. Tested with jQuery 1.9.0.
(function($){
$(function(){
var $form = $('#search'), // Search form
$target = $('#results'), // Results container
rp = 'search/ajax-results'; // Template for results only
// Function to execute on success
var success = function(data, status, xhr) {
$target.html(data);
};
