Self Evaluation

  • How comfortable do you feel using a Mac? If you don't feel comfortable, have you seen improvement since starting to use this computer? How can you continue to improve? I feel pretty comofrtable using a Mac, but I need to start using my mouse less and incoporate more keyboard shortcuts. I have seen improvements with this, but to improve further I need to start consistently using them to build muscle memory.
  • What questions do you have, or ideas would you like to get more clarity on when you discuss Atom & Markdown in a live Mod 0 session? When I used the Markdown Live Preview resource, I was able to see the image I included. However in my actual gist I was unable to see the image I added. I used the trick where you add the image as a comment on your gist and then copy the text to add the image inside the gist file but the image still did not appear. Why would the image not appear when I did this? Is there a reason why this worked in the Markdown Live Preview but not the Gist? Those were the same steps I used for the calendar Gist assignmnment and the images I included for that were visible.
  • Look at the vocabulary list at the top of the lesson. Are you comfortable using all terms listed there? If not, what can you do about that? Yes, I feel comfortable with the vocabulary. If I need a refresher, I have started a glossary in my notes.
  • Before submitting this, preview the file and make sure that your answers are easily readable/clearly distinguished from the questions. Format this self-evaluation in any way you'd like to meet that expectation.
  • What questions do you still have? How will you get the answers you need? Do we need to submit the gist we created using markdown for this lesson? I will ask Ellen in our next small group session.
