Week 5 Gear Up Make Up Homework

*What are three key take aways from this video?

  • America was built on hacking.
  • You don't have to be a programmer to be a civic hacker.
  • Use the people for better ways to understand how to solve/ hack a problem.

*Do you agree that “hacking built America”?

  • I do agree becuase everything that we have in america was built on finding a hack to make lives easier and better. for example building the highway to allow people to travel to work faster and easier. (sometimes easier)

*What is the defintion or idea of civic hacking?

  • My definition of a civic hacking is the process where the people find ways to solve problems by critically thinking and questioning how we can solve them.

*Find one article or video that you think should be a part of a future gear up session. Provide the link and your synthesis (3-5 sentences) on why you believe this should inform a future gear up.
