BRS redesign UX/UI feedback

This is looking really nice! I'm impressed with the design and thoughtful content strategy.

I have mostly minor feedback, except for a concern about user road blocks on the services page, which I think should be addressed.

(minor) The testimonials look great and stand out; they would be even easier to read with left-alignment.

As a user, I'm not entirely sure what to do to if I'm ready to move forward.

On the services page, I'm scanning for what to do next and it's hard to find what I'm supposed to do. I love the way the "process" section works here, but if I'm just looking for a "buy" button, I might get lost.

At this stage, a usuer is typically just scanning for a button to click on. On the services page, I see a bunch of orange buttons that say "LEARN MORE", "SEE AN EXAMPLE", and "CONTACT US". I don't want to do those things, I want to work with Dana!

The content on this page is very good, but unless I read all of it, I'm not sure what to do. Even if I do read all of it, I'm not sure how to get started. There's no clarity that the way to get started is to go to the contact page or click "CONTACT US".

I can think of a few options to help the user find how to move forward:

  • make the "CONTACT US" button stand out more using size, position, or color
  • make the "CONTACT US" call to action more redundant. For example, each section, like "RESUME WRITING & BRAND DEVELOPMENT", could have a "Contact us to get started" text link at the bottom.
  • change the copy to "GET STARTED" or something similar and make it stand out from other buttons

These are just a few ideas; there are probably more options to address this.

(minor) Body text under the hero would be more readable left-aligned.

before: body text before

after: body text after

The CTA at the bottom of some of these pages is a nice touch!

(minor) Would recommend left-aligning body text under the hero on this page also.

It's not clear which part of the blog post card is clickable. The whole thing could be clickable if the anchor tag wraps the entire card, which would be more forgiving to the user. You could optionally do some sort of hover treatment for the whole card.

The sidebar looks really nice. The input for the newsletter looks exactly like the buttons above; it might be helpful to the user to make it look more like a text input. Here are two minor changes that could help as an example:

When the user adds something to their cart, there could be more user feedback. Currently only the icon is added to the button and the notification count bubble on the cart icon at the top changes.

Would it be possible to show some success text under the button when the item is added to the cart? successful cart add

It's also difficult to notice changes in the cart icon in the header because the count bubble is orange. Is there a branding color that would provide sufficient contrast against the header background? In this example, I picked a random teal color:
