https://gist.github.com/amcgregor/7b4a4f64bd212ad52b658b2dbac33191 would be my signed registration request on behalf of the generalized “web development” community migrating from Freenode. I have been a moderator of that channel for a few years, now, and it seems people trust me to handle this.

We have had some issues with users banned from the channel on Freenode attempting to camp the same-named channel on Libera: https://gist.github.com/amcgregor/57e3e569e319d0f5ce361787601e427d#gistcomment-3750741 — scroll up for the historical log and initial ban, the comment on this includes behavior on Libera that likely violates policy.

I am asking to register this so as to protect the name of the channel from disgruntled users and so that we can begin re-forming what structure we had on this new service.
