- 1/2 onion
- 1 can (400g) of peeled tomato
- 4 garlic cloves
- olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 carrot, shreded
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- oregano
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp MSG (optional)
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil on a small pan
- Chop onion, add to oil, cook for a bit
- Add peeled tomato, break with the back of a spoon
- Add 1/3 cup of water
- Add all other ingredients
- Let it reduce for a while
- Remove bay leaf
- Blend
- Add more salt, sugar, vinegar, MSG to taste
You can replace carrot with pumpkin.
