    Elastic Search

Elasticsearch is a real time search engine where a change to an index will be propegated to the whole cluster within a second.
An elasticsearch cluster indicated as one or more nodes, collection of nodes containing all the data, default cluster name is elasticserach.
A node is a single server and part of a cluster, node participate in searching and indexing.
Index is collection of documents equavalent to a database within a relational system, index name must be lowercase
Type is represetn a class = table

    Code is clean if it can be understood easily – by everyone on the team. Clean code can be read and enhanced by a developer other than its original author. With understandability comes readability, changeability, extensibility and maintainability.

General rules


Follow standard conventions.
Keep it simple stupid. Simpler is always better. Reduce complexity as much as possible.
Boy scout rule. Leave the campground cleaner than you found it.
Always find root cause. Always look for the root cause of a problem.

                Docker For Mac Host Address Alias To Enable PHP XDebug (10.254.254.254 Trick)
              
          
    Docker (Mac) De-facto Standard Host Address Alias

This launchd script will ensure that your Docker environment on your Mac will have 10.254.254.254 as an alias on your loopback device (127.0.0.1).  The command being run is ifconfig lo0 alias 10.254.254.254.
Once your machine has a well known IP address, your PHP container will then be able to connect to it, specifically XDebug can connect to it at the configured xdebug.remote_host.
Installation Of IP Alias (This survives reboot)

Copy/Paste the following in terminal with sudo (must be root as the target directory is owned by root)...

Our development machines here at Point2 are not standardized; we have a mixture of Windows XP, 7, and Mac OSX/Unix computers. I find myself constantly switching back and forth between command prompt interfaces when pair programming. As a result, I catch myself using “ls” to list a directories contents regardless of what system I am on. I am currently using a Windows XP machine for my developer box and I wanted to setup an alias to the “ls” command to actually perform a “dir”. Here is how I accomplished it…
There is a command available in a Window’s shell that let’s you “alias” command to whatever you please: DOSKey. It allows you to create “macros” to execute one or more other commands with a custom nam
