What role does empathy play in your life and how has it helped you?
Most people that know me consider me an empath, and I think empathy was a large reason why I originally went into the design field. I felt like my inherint ability to keep the user or the consumer in mind made me a natural for design-based work.

How does empathy help you build better software?
I think empathy really can be a source of inspiration for creating more exciting, cutting edge software. By staying organzied, and evaluating what advice I choose to take, I am able to maintain focus on my own goals and feel like I am in control and making progress. I feel like if you rely on other people to find out the best route or path to a goal, it doesn't feel like you actually achieved anything but rather piggy backed on someone else's success.

How do you work best?
I work best in a team. I do things well on my own, but I like that competitive drive I get working with people. I think it is always interesting to work with people and see how they approach problems. I think it's important to get outside
