2017 goals reflection

I have previously set goals for myself for 2017. I've not done very well in achieving all of them, but here's a run-down anyways:

Goal 1 was to begin the process of becoming a Debian Developer. I've failed completely at this, I don't believe that I've contributed at all in any way to Debian in 2017.

Goal 2 was to contribute to a website to track my smaller accomplishments. I've actually done a pretty good job of this as I have fairly regularly updated my accomplishments site.

Goal 3 was to continue to run my NTP server(s). Except for a few month stint, I've been running at least 1 NTP server in India in the NTP global pool. My server stats for those who care.

Goal 4 was to continue to avoid social media. I've successfully stayed off of Facebook and Google+ but I did end up joining a Mastodon instance run by a friend called Society of Trolls. You can find me on Mastodon @bradfa@society.oftrolls.com. This goal was a half fail, half succeed.

Goal 5 was to create an open hardware design. I failed at this. I started some designs but never completed anything.

Goal 6 was to contribute to KiCad's parts library. I did a small amount of this at the beginning of the year but didn't keep it up. So fail on this I think.

Goal 7 was to continue contributing to CLFS. I did post a big bundle of updates to the CLFS Embedded book in October but that bundle of updates started in April. I didn't contribute as much as I would have liked.

My reach goals were complete failures as most were extensions of core goals that I failed at.

I hope to learn from this for my 2018 goal setting.
