Anatomy of a Drupal project, and when to SWOT up on alternatives.

This session is based on a real life case study, and will include a look at techniques such as SWOT analysis of Drupal's suitability for a project, as well as for alternative options including hosted solutions, other CMS', or full frameworks. It is intended to help expand on Dries Buytaert's comments from DrupalCon Vienna that Drupal is "for ambitious digital experiences" as well as explore the blurred line that exists between a simple site and an ambitous digital experience.

Notes:

I have filed this under "Community and business" as the talk is about choosing Drupal for a project and is aimed at agencies/project stakeholders who have an understanding of evaluating products for websites. I am willing to look at moving the talk to another section if one is more suitable.

I agree with @chrisseaton. This abstract needs to be shortened, more focused, and much more objectively worded. Consider presenting pros and cons of multiple mainstream solutions for specific projects in a case study format.

Agree with all of the above. This would no doubt offend a lot of people - especially at a conference for Drupal

@chrisseaton, you're right. It isn't how I intended it, and thank you for your comments. My intention is to provoke discussion around a point that the Drupal community is trying to get its head around. Drupal isn't suitable for everything, a fact highlighted in Dries Buytaert's (the project's BDFL) keynote at DrupalCon Vienna in September 2017.

I'll look at how I can reword the proposal in line with @elazar's comments, and consider dropping the idea altogether. Thank you again for everyone's input.

I have now updated this, hopefully, to be more project friendly. I appreciate everyone's feedback.

This is a very cool analysis of the company. I took notes on some elements.
I would be very happy if a similar company research was conducted in 20th or 21st years.

This author is unlikely to answer you, he has not been to the github for a long time. Try to find him online or search for information you need on your own. However, I want to recommend you to study other swot analysises, they can also teach you something. In my opinion, the best option is https://graduateway.com/essay-examples/swot-analysis/ where you can see analysis of companies such as Harley Davidson, Ikea, Nespresso and many others. And in general, look at this site more, because there is a lot of interesting things for students. I especially like that you can get help from qualified authors, so my recommendation to you!
