This behavior has to do with sticking with it even when the task at hand seems impossible. This one resonated with me because I'm currently learning how to speak Dutch. When I first started, it felt impossible to even get the pronunciation right. Eventually, that became a cinch. Next, I watched a movie and freaked out that I couldn't understand anything. Over time, I learned how to learn and not freak out. I pace myself by sticking to "age appropriate" materials -- starting with kids books and moving onto materials meant for teenagers. I think getting through that experience of learning something new and overwhelming will help me stick to it with my programming ed
