The database can also be (re)created on the fly from inside this script:
This replaces https://gist.github.com/clupprich/0e8b816883ca4dac6b7632a9e8351c48#file-rails_single_file-rb-L19 because it also connects to the database.
Update:
We should also add
config.hosts.clear
to the Rails config to clear the hosts whitelist for the tests (maybe with a security comment).
