- Obtain admin password (say ONTPW) of GPON ONT from Syrotech or MTNL
- Obtain vlan id, PPPoE username and PPPoE password from MTNL.
- Login to Syrotech ONT using admin/ONTPW (step 1), note the VLAN id, MTU and other parameters that are also needed in the new configuration.
- In "WAN Configuration", select the working internet connection and switch "Mode" to "Bridge".
- Inherit other parameters, such as VLAN id and MTU from before this change.
- Tick "Turn off LAN DHCP" and select only the ethernet port you're not connected to, say port-2.
- Connect ONT port-2 to WAN port of you ethernet router.
- Use PPPoE on ethernet router using credentials obtained in step 2.
- MTU setting may need adjustment. Check it on http://www.letmecheck.it/mtu-test.php
- Obtain dlink dsl-2520u modem. Set it to bridge mode (LLC) from the admin page. Set correct MTU, VPI & VCI.
- Connect ethernet port of modem to WAN port of router.
- Use PPPoE from ethernet router. Obtain username and password from Airtel.
