Purpose of this list is to gather a source of information on how many people are working on iOS application.
I often wonder how many people are behind Facebook's app or Twitter's. If you're as curious as me, please share and please add apps 😉.

Love the idea of this list! Just to be sure: what does "people working on iOS app" - exactly mean? App only or is backend/API included? Designers?

Uber has about 150 iOS engineers I guess, according to SwiftSummit's (https://www.swiftsummit.com) talk by Tuomas Artman (Tuesday, November 8th, 10:05am)

I don't care how complex the app is (and Uber is a lot more complex that it appears due to regional differences), but 150 iOS devs working on 2 apps (driver and rider) is crazy town IMO 😮

PDF Viewer for iOS - 2 (The PSPDFKit PDF SDK it uses heavily has ~10 people but shares code with Android)

Uber's already at > 200 with their 3 apps (Driver, Rider, EATS)

I assume (with the case of Uber) there's a significant a amount of tooling (also dependency management of shared deps) and build engineering that also contributes to this number. Would be interesting to know how those numbers are split between those disciplines.

Soundcloud, according this keynote (in Spanish) has 30 iOS developers. In the slides you can read ~20, but he says 30 (and growing up).

According to a Facebook engineer there were 429 engineers working on the iOS app in a single week. Which would imply the team is bigger than that.
