Morn,
I'm interested in taking an uber from Boston to Las Vegas next month,
but I'm a bit concerned about the time issues and was wondering if you
could clear up a few things for me!
I'd be travelling from Boston, and arriving in Las Vegas on August 6,
preferably in the afternoon. I was given a helpful quote here:

Unfortunately, there is not any time estimate, so I'm not sure when to leave.
Do you guys have a record of the longest uber ride in time and
distance so that I can plan when to leave? Furthermore, is there a
limit in how many hours an uber employee/driver/contracter/word de`
jeur can drive in one day? Is it limited like truck drivers?
Thanks for your quick reply, love your service!
Jeff

Thanks for writing back in, Jeff.
Uber is a strictly on-demand service, so you can order at any time.
We work hard to make sure that drivers are always available on the system. The app will show you approximately how far away the closest driver is, and then you can request the car so that it arrives to fit your needs.
As a reference, here's how you request a ride.
Let the Uber app find your location via GPS or type in your address or venue manually
Select “Set Pickup Location”
Choose your desired car type using the slider at the bottom of the screen
On the next screen, tap “Request” and we'll find you the nearest available driver.
Please note that the trip only begins when you are inside the car.
You can also check out this video!
For pricing information, vehicle options, and fare quotes, visit uber.com/cities. Additionally, please keep in mind that people who drive for Uber are independent business people using the Uber platform as a way to connect with riders. Thus, their availability may vary from time to time, but rest assured that we'll do our best to connect you to one.
Let me know if I can help with anything else. Hope to see you in an Uber soon.

Thanks for writing back in, Jeff. You sure got a long trip on your hands, but allow me to give you some tips here. :)
Please keep in mind that every Uber ride will cut off after three hours, which means if you are really going to use Uber to gain enough distance to get to your desired location, then you would probably be opted to do multiple Uber rides. Additionally, we couldn't guarantee the coverage and availability here since that there might be an instance that the cut-off will occur to a place that Uber does not accommodate. That being said, I recommend that you use the service at your own discretion when travelling long distances.
Hope this info helps. Please let us know if you have any more concerns that we need to address.

hmmm, what forces the cutoff? can a driver just continue to drive me if (s)he so chooses?
What is the longest ride on record?
Also can a driver drive for 24 hours a day?

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for writing back.
We can be able to provide you with the estimated cut off of three hours, but we can't be able to provide any other details outside of that.
Again, please let us know if you have anything else in mind. :)
