How to proxy web apps using nginx?

Virtual Hosts on nginx (CSC309)

When hosting our web applications, we often have one public IP address (i.e., an IP address visible to the outside world) using which we want to host multiple web apps. For example, one may wants to host three different web apps respectively for example1.com, example2.com, and example1.com/images on the same machine using a single IP address.

How can we do that? Well, the good news is Internet browsers

python 3 base64 encode dict

Given a dictionary, transform it to a string. Then byte encode that string. Then base64 encode it and since this will go

data = json.loads(base64.urlsafe_b64decode(query_param.encode()).decode())
# Byte encode the string, base64 decode that, then byte decode, finally transform it to a dictionary

Let's Encrypt Nginx setup with Ansible
Ansible playbook to setup HTTPS using Let's encrypt on nginx.
The Ansible playbook installs everything needed to serve static files from a nginx server over HTTPS.
The server pass A rating on [SSL Labs](https://www.ssllabs.com/).
To use:
1. Install [Ansible](https://www.ansible.com/)
2. Setup an Ubuntu 16.04 server accessible over ssh
3. Create `/etc/ansible/hosts` according to template below and change example.com to your domain
4. Copy the rest of the files to an empty directory (`playbook.yml` in the root of that folder and the rest in the `templates` subfolder)

How to stream a webcam to a web browser in Ubuntu

Grr this took hours to figure out. I was trying to install MJPG-streamer and running VLC command lines and all this crap but nothing worked.

First install motion:

~> sudo apt-get install motion

Then create a config file:

~> mkdir ~/.motion

~> nano ~/.motion/motion.conf
