open space - rohan wants to start a bank

• when eda was starting rohan and jv went 400,000 in debt. having a better bank would have made things easier. folx had to take out mortgages and work for free for awhile.
• banks wouldn't give rohan and jv loans
  • lack of trust. banks trust things that are already stable.
    • perhaps trust is something that only exists in small communities.
• banks not interested in lending for co-housing -- in other places, there are banks more keen to lend for that sort of thing
• extractive model -- shouldn't be that way
