Note

Apple will reject apps that are using private url schemes (Ugh, Apple....) if they are pretty much obvius. Some apps are rejected and others are not, so, be aware of this issue before implementing any of those URL's in your app as a feature.

Updates

  • [UPDATE 4] iOS 10 update: apparently settings now can be reached using App-Pref instead of prefs
  • [UPDATE 3] For now you just can use url schemes to open your apps's settings with Swift 3.0 (Xcode 8). I'll keep you informed when OS preferences can be reached
  • [UPDATE 2] The openURL() method of UIApplication is now deprecated. You should use application(_:open:options:) instead
  • [UPDATE 1] Not yet tested in iOS 10. It will fail because of policies changes in URL scheme handling.

Download & Compile Libpng for iOS (all architectures)
# Builds a Libpng framework for the iPhone and the iPhone Simulator.
# Creates a set of universal libraries that can be used on an iPhone and in the
# iPhone simulator. Then creates a pseudo-framework to make using libpng in Xcode
# less painful.
#
# To configure the script, define:
# IPHONE_SDKVERSION: iPhone SDK version (e.g. 8.1)
#
# Then go get the source tar.bz of the libpng you want to build, shove it in the
# same directory as this script, and run "./libpng.sh". Grab a cuppa. And voila.

Port Forwarding in Mavericks

Since Mavericks stopped using the deprecated ipfw (as of Mountain Lion), we'll be using pf to allow port forwarding.

How to cross compile Go with CGO programs for a different OS/Arch

How to cross compile Go with CGO programs for a different OS/Arch

It is possible to compile Go programs for a different OS, even though go build says otherwise.

You'll need:

# This is the complete example of nginx configuration file for ownCloud 5
# This config file configures proper rewrite rules for the new release of ownCloud
# Also, this config file configures nginx to listen on both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
# If you want it to listen to IPv4 address only, use listen 80; instead of listen [::]:80
# First, we configure redirection to HTTPS (substitue owncloud.example.com with the proper address of your OC instance)
server {
listen 80;
server_name bla-bla;
