Below is an actual side by side comparison of Windows 10 version 1909 (✅ Working Microphone) and Windows 10 version 2004 (❌ Not Working).
In this setup, I have used the same computer, and created a clean install of Windows using the versions stated above.
BOSE should acknowledge this issue and should roll out updates to their drivers to make it compatible to new builds of Windows 10. I don't have to try this on every build to prove a point.
Related Issues:
I've been having this issue for a long time but never bothered to do any digging on it. Of course, lots of unhelpful documentation and youtube guides out there. This is the only thing I've seen that matches my issues. The easiest way to illustrate the issue is by hitting Test in the Control Panel > Sound box or hit Test in Discord's Voice settings area. I get the ugly "berng" error sound and the headphones go from a green check to a red X in the Control Center > Sound tool. Sometimes if you test in there, it'll freeze the Control Center > Sound tool altogether...
Anyway, my i7-7700K CPU isn't on the approved list for Win11, so I'm still looking for solutions.
