To whom it may concern, I am applying for the JavaScript Developer Role at Viget. I believe I will be a valuable addition to Viget for many reasons. After graduating college with a degree in Graphic Design, I have been focusing on becoming a solid Front End Engineer. With a background in design as well as experience building eCommerce websites in WordPress, Shopify and BigCommerce, I can assist in alleviating constraints between designers and developers. These skills should also bleed into the Front End Developer Position listed. I reached out to one of your senior UI developers Doug Avery, who had some excellent resources to share on how to become a more desireable applicant at Viget, which I have been working on.

I believe my experience in customer facing roles as well as being able to build beautiful dynamic web applications would make me a great addition to the Viget team. Not only do I have a desire to learn, grow and help others. But I'm passionate about building pleasant UI experiences for users. I thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment where exploration, paired programming and code reviews are embraced. My experience with eCommerce solutions as well as building web applications in React/Redux with a TDD approach make me a perfect fit for a JavaScript Developer role at Viget.

At my last position before enrolling at Turing School of Software and Design, I worked for two and half years as the only developer at a Denver based startup called FlowState Marketing. At the time of hiring we were selling websites for $3,000. After two and half years, we grew to where we were now selling websites for $30,000. At this startup I was able to single handidly grow the Developement side of the business while helping to increasing the value of the company. Working directly under the Creative Director and Project Manager, I had a very customer facing role where I was involved in all aspects of the project, and ultimately was handed Designs and transformed them into beautiful responsive websites and eCommerce solutions.

I enrolled at Turing School of Software and Design's Front End Engineering program for the sole purpose of expanding my development skills and knowledge. During this time, I focused on OOP while building out robust web applications in JavaScript, React and Redux. I focused on taking a TDD approach to all projects and worked on improving development work flow, paired programming skills, Unit and Integration Testing and CD/CI and even learning some backend skills such as building HTTP servers in Node and Express, and learning GraphQL.

After having my eye on Viget for the last few years, working to become a more competitive applicant at Viget and learning the skills I need to succeed at the job, I would be honored to work with such a great team of people to help continue the Viget goal of "Building a Better Digital World". I look forward to hearing back from you!

Sincerely, Harry Borrelli
