Self Reflection - What are your top 3 core values? What are the strengths and talents that you love using? Who do you impact or want to make a difference for? What’s important about this? What kind of role do you see yourself pursuing in your job search?

  • My top 3 core values are; Honesty, Health and Happiness. I love learning and sharing knowledge with others. I want to make an impact by building tech that encourages/enables people to get outside more. This is important because it will lead people to want to treat the world and environment better as well as keeping people healthy and active enjoying the outdoors. I have two main focuses on the job search. The first being to land a job where I can continue to grow and work with experienced developers. The second is to work my way into some sort of outdoor tech, education tech or mountain bike company.

Personal Brand - What do your professional summaries say to prospective employers?

What is a "framework?" And how does it differ from a "library?"

  • A Framework is a bit of code that dictates the architecture of your project. A Library includes pre-written code or methods that you can access and integrate into your project.

Why should we consider using a framework over vanilla JS like you have been doing in mods 1 and 2?

  • The main benefit of a Framework is that it helps the UI in sync with the state or data.

What is a "component" in React? Why is it useful to have components?

  • A react components are basically just JavaScript functions that utilize/accept props to render elements to the DOM. Components can be functional (only used to render elements) or Class based (which can constrol their own state).

What are React "props?"

# Outreach & Networking Plan
As we've discussed, meeting people, forming relationships, and having conversations are the key pieces to getting your foot in the door at any company. It's important to be proactive in your approach to outreach and networking, so it's necessary to make a plan for what you'll try to further your networking.
Identify a contact you will reach out to by the end of this module. This could be a mentor, alum, or anyone from your current network. Describe:
1. Who your contact is, why you want to connect with them, and what you want to talk about
* The contact I would like to reach out to, is someone I do not know. However, they work for a company that i've had my eye for a few years and would love to apply to. The contact is [Margaret Williford](https://www.linkedin.com/in/margaret-williford/) and the company she works for is called [Viget](https://www.viget.com/). Also my current mentor is friends with her on Linkedin, so I'm wondering if it would be better to reach out to my mento
# My Story
*Who are you, why are you here, and what’s next?*
I graduated college with a degree in Graphic Design. However throughout my graphic design program, I realized that I didn’t absolutely love design. However, I still wanted to be able to use my design degree. Half way through the program, I took an “Intro to CSS” and an “Intro to HTML” course. Coding quickly became my new passion. For the remaining duration of my program, I focused on building a web portfolio instead of a print portfolio. Which involved building my own personal website.
After graduating college, I immediately got a job as a Web Designer/Developer. The ideal position I was looking for at the time! I worked there for a year and then took a year off to travel and figure out where I wanted to end up. After moving to Denver, I worked as a Wordpress developer for 2.5 years at a startup. At this position I was the only developer with the company, and I felt like I wasn’t growing at the pace I could if I were working with other developers.

Agile & Feedback Reflection Guidelines

In interviews, you'll be asked about how you approach working in projects, and being able to describe how you utilize agile processes is a great way to help you stand out as a junior developer candidate. This reflection is meant to help you develop this skill.

With that in mind, please answer the following questions in your own gist about your group project:

  1. What have you learned about the use of agile vs. waterfall in software projects?
The agile development process is great because it relies on creating a minimum viable product (MVP). This allows you to get something working quickly, share with customers or investors, and then make improvements based on feedback. The agile method is cheaper, quicker, and easier to quit without loosing too much.

  2. How did you and your group approach project management in this project (what tools did you use, how did you hold each other accountable, etc.)?
For project management, we used GitHub Project boards for iterations
