jQuery / Twitter Bootstrap List Tree Plugin

jQuery / Twitter Bootstrap List Tree Plugin

Demo: http://jsfiddle.net/clayzermk1/QD8Hs/

Overview

I needed a simple plugin to build a two-tier collapsible list with checkboxes. I wanted it to fit well with Twitter's Bootstrap. I couldn't find one that was simple enough. I hope you enjoy =) Feel free to send feedback.

Deploy to `gh-pages` from a `dist` folder on the master branch. Useful for use with [yeoman](http://yeoman.io).

Deploying a subfolder to GitHub Pages

Sometimes you want to have a subdirectory on the master branch be the root directory of a repository’s gh-pages branch. This is useful for things like sites developed with Yeoman, or if you have a Jekyll site contained in the master branch alongside the rest of your code.

For the sake of this example, let’s pretend the subfolder containing your site is named dist.

Step 1

Remove the dist directory from the project’s .gitignore file (it’s ignored by default by Yeoman).

Django-Social-Auth and Mezzanine/Cartridge integration from spring 2012. It looks like `mezzanine.accounts`, but the integration with that app is likely incomplete.

Usability Checklist

User Experience

  • Personalized features. Currency, language, country specific deals, taxes, or delivery options are changed based on user's location.
  • Registering provides value to users. For example a "Free Trial" button communicates a clear benefit, but a "Register" button doesn't. Unnecessary registration is avoided.

Cahill-Keyes map projection

Cahill-Keyes map projection (I modified Waterman butterfly projection in the geo.polyhedron D3 plugin to have incisions at 17° (Thanks Jason for the great inspiration!).

Gene Keyes's first 5 principles:

  • principal format to an M-shape, joined at south Atlantic
  • principal dividing meridian to 20° W
  • incisions at equator and poles at 17°
  • proportionality of geocells
  • circular parallels for the polar regions

Basic steps for hosting on Github

Hey there, apparently people are still using this Gist from 2013! It's out of date! Consult the Github docs.

Steps for Hosting a Website on GitHub

  1. Create a GitHub account on github.com.
  2. Download either [GitHub for Mac][1] or [GitHub for Windows][2], depending on your operating system. Open the app and log in using the account you just created.
  3. (On Mac): After you login, click advanced and make sure that your name and email are correct. Then, click "Install Command Line Tools", just in case you want to start using the command line later in life.
  4. Create a new repository in your GitHub application. Name it your-username.github.io. The name is very important. Note the folder that GitHub is saving the repository to. Make sure the "Push to GitHub?" box is checked.
  5. Move your website's files into the folder that GitHub just created when you made the repository. IMPORTANT: Your homepage HTML file must be called "index.html", and it must exist in the top-level
