It's interesting to me that we have the same NUC with the same CPU, but mine outperformed yours considerably on the h264_1080p_cpu test and yours outperfromed mine considerably on the hevc_4k_10bit test. I even updated my BIOS to the latest and maxed out the memory available to my iGPU, but didn't see any noticable difference in my results testing before and after the change. My older Xeon E3-1245 v6 even beats the 11th gen i5 in my NUC. I wonder what's causing the performance to suffer on the newer chip...

It's interesting to me that we have the same NUC with the same CPU, but mine outperformed yours considerably on the h264_1080p_cpu test and yours outperfromed mine considerably on the hevc_4k_10bit test. I even updated my BIOS to the latest and maxed out the memory available to my iGPU, but didn't see any noticable difference in my results testing before and after the change. My older Xeon E3-1245 v6 even beats the 11th gen i5 in my NUC. I wonder what's causing the performance to suffer on the newer chip...
I figured out the cause of the discrepancy. I had a single 32GB memory stick in my NUC, so my original tests were running with single channel memory. I added another stick to give me dual channel memory and now my results are more in line with others who are running the same i5-1135G7 chip.
Apparently dual channel memory is a must. I have updated my original post with the dual-channel test results.
If it's relevant this is with a single stick of ram, however I doubt anyone will want to use this CPU for this task anyways
