STEPS TO REPRODUCE | |
------------------ | |
1. Launch 1Password | |
2. Select: Main Menu > 1Password > Check for Updates… | |
3. See Update window appear with red warning about 6.5.5 manual download, click red link at top : https://app-updates.agilebits.com/download/OPM4 | |
4. Download begins in my default browser (Chrome, just updated) | |
EXPECTED RESULT | |
------------------ | |
1Password 6.5.5 Download to complete successfully in Chrome | |
ACTUAL RESULT | |
------------------ | |
The download proceeds in Chrome, but when it completes, Chrome displays a malware warning: | |
"Diese Art von Datei kann Schaden auf Ihrem Computer anrichten. VERWERFEN | BEHALTEN" | |
My translation to english: | |
"This kind of data can damage your computer. THROW AWAY | KEEP" | |
ADDITIONAL NOTES | |
------------------ | |
I tried this three times. Same result each time. On the third time, I first tried quitting Chrome and updating it to the very latest version, but the result was identical. | |
