This is a very small new thing. I made it to make me feel better when I was feeling a little bad. It's sort of a love note to the internet, and a hopeful piece of art.
On this site you can create threads, weaving together stuff across the internet. If you make a thread it's just for you, it doesn't get published or added to a feed anywhere. Instead, you can share a link to it wherever you want, and the people who find that link can submit replies. Soon, you'll be able to prune a thread as it grows too, shaping it to be the conversation you want.
Others who find your thread can also follow along as a it grows. Once they subscribe to threads they'll get an email with all the latest replies once a day (at about 10AM ET). But in a week all threads meet their end, and the conversation must continue elsewhere. Perhaps a new thread, grafted in, at the end.
I hope that this tool can make it a little more possible/alive/fun for you to create on the internet. Do it wherever. Twitter. Gists, Are.na. Let's talk across websites, and social networks. Let's weave our own web and tend to it, mulching up the platforms and apps and growing new shoots.
