Hello World

This is a very small new thing. I made it to make me feel better when I was feeling a little bad. It's sort of a love note to the internet, and a hopeful piece of art.

On this site you can create threads, weaving together stuff across the internet. If you make a thread it's just for you, it doesn't get published or added to a feed anywhere. Instead, you can share a link to it wherever you want, and the people who find that link can submit replies. Soon, you'll be able to prune a thread as it grows too, shaping it to be the conversation you want.

Others who find your thread can also follow along as a it grows. Once they subscribe to threads they'll get an email with all the latest replies once a day (at about 10AM ET). But in a week all threads meet their end, and the conversation must continue elsewhere. Perhaps a new thread, grafted in, at the end.

I hope that this tool can make it a little more possible/alive/fun for you to create on the internet. Do it wherever. Twitter. Gists, Are.na.

Lambda Guilds

This is heavily inspired by Lambda School, a startup school where students pay nothing up front, but upon getting a job pay 17% of their income for 2 years capped at 30k USD total.

Lambda Guilds is a generalization of that idea. A marketplace of Guides can bid on the right to an Apprentices future income, and the responsibility to support their learning.
