- Acquire back-end development skills to supplement my front end skills
- Prioritize company research / cold outreach during 2 week intermission
- I need to be doing 1 cold outreach email per day during mod 4
- try for 2 coffee dates a week
- shoot for 2 - 3 interviews during mod 4
- Gain the most out of mod 4 curriculum and projects
- Continue to refactor and improve Get Out There, need back end and map feature. Improved testing/CSS
- Hone data viz skills with libraries like D3 and Victory
- With back end knowledge revisit GIS database structure and couple that with mapping libraries
- Add hiring alerts for companies I'm interested in working at
- Continue to research additonal companies I want to work for
- Reach out to July and other alums about job hunting strategies
- Keep digging to find real contact info and do cold outreach
- I have already been rejected for a GIS visualization job, so I need to refocus on some of my GIS skills, while also highlighting my coding skills
- Write some blog posts about my experience transitioning into the coding world
- Work on personal site as additional side project.
- During intermission week:
- Research and identify 12 companies I'd like to work for
- Refactor Weatherly, Movie Tracker, and Get Out There..push to heroku
- Begin cold outreach to 12 companies
