NeuroTech SF Hacknight

Description

Are you passionate about neurotechnology? Whether you are a student, a researcher or a professional working in this fascinating field, this event is for you!

NeuroTechX (the largest global community focused on neurotechnology) invites you to join us for an evening social and a presentation of everything you should know about what happened in neurotechnology in 2019 from around the world.

Come join us for the San Francisco version of this exciting event which has been happening in many other chapter cities around the world.

Description

Come learn about and hack on NeurotechX projects for the evening! Check out NeuroTechX’s github for current projects (https://github.com/NeuroTechX/) but feel free to bring your own ideas along with your laptops and hardware. We will have live demos of collecting EEG/eye tracking while gaming for you to try so feel free to just drop in and learn more about what we are working on too. Come be a part of the community.

The main projects we are looking at right now include

1. Detect the electrical activity of your brain with Python eeg-notebooks. Some muse headsets and compatible bluetooth dongles will be available.

2. Test machine learning classifiers on publicly available datasets with MOABB and learn more about analyzing data with MNE (https://mne.tools/).

3. Learn about the Minds Eye Biomedical Spectra kit
(https://www.crowdsupply.com/mindseye-biomedical/spectra) and the OpenEIT project.

Come by anytime between 7PM and 9PM. We can stay later if there is interest. Drinks and food will be available. Look forward to seeing you there.
