Political discussion rules

Political discussions can make society a better place, but only if the people taking part in the discussion actually agree that that is the goal. If they don't, it's impossible to come to a mutual conclusion.

Because of that, we allow political discussion, so long as the goal of the discussion is to improve society for everyone. We do not allow discussions which try to exclude, or question people's value.

This means, among other things:

  1. If you are here to 'debate' for the sake of it, or to 'win' discussions - you are not welcome here.
  2. If you approach discussions from a nihilistic perspective ("there are no right answers", "it's all relative", "I don't care", etc.) - you are not welcome here.
  3. If you cannot accept the base premise that everyone fundamentally deserves a fair treatment, and equality is a desirable goal - you are not welcome here.
  4. If you believe that every opinion, no matter what it is, is equally valid and should be considered equally - you are not welcome here.
  5. If you don't understand or cannot accept the Paradox of Tolerance - you are not welcome here.
  6. If you believe that "freedom of speech" means that others should be required to listen to you - you are not welcome here.
