What is it ?

CALISHOT is a specialised search engine to unearth books on open calibre servers.

It allows you to search ebooks in full text across them or to browse the database by facets: authors, language, year, series, tags ... You can even run your own queries in SQL.

Set up a cross-account IAM role in the destination account

• Add a new IAM role
• For type of trusted entity select "another AWS account"
• Specify the accountId of the account that will be using the resource in the destination account. You can find your AWS Account ID, which is available on the support homepage when you are logged in.
• Create a policy that allows lambda:InvokeFunction for your function and attach it to this new role.

Create a lambda in the calling account.

• Set up a role for your lambda that is allowed to assumeRole
• Use the AWS SDK to assume the new role in the destination account.
• Pass the credentials to the lambda object when you create it

Continuous deployment of React websites to Amazon S3

This sample includes a continuous deployment pipiline for websites built with React. We use AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and SAM to deploy the application. To deploy the application to S3 using SAM we use a custom CloudFormation resource.

Files included

• buildspec.yml: YAML configuration for CodeBuild, this file should be in the root of your code repository
• configure.js: Script executed in the build step to generate a config.json file for the application, this is used to include values exported by other CloudFormation stacks (separate services of the same application).
• index.js: Custom CloudFormation resource that publishes the website to an S3 bucket. As you can see from the buildspec and SAM template, this function is located in a s3-deployment-custom-resource sub-folder of the repo
