Writing this for anyone in the future who is running into problems following these directions. Not sure if this was just a personal problem of mine, but after setting this up I was getting errors like

17 07 2016 00:40:44.501:ERROR [framework.browserify]: bundle error

./../../../tests/js/site/Validator.spec.js:1
import Validator from './mixins/Validator.js'
^
ParseError: 'import' and 'export' may appear only with 'sourceType: module'

What eventually ended up working for me was making my browserify setup in karma.conf.js look like the following:

browserify: {
    debug: true, // debug=true to generate source maps
    transform: [ ['babelify', {presets: ["es2015"]}], 'vueify' ],
},

And of course you have to add the following into your package.json:

"babelify": "^7.3.0",

So wish I would have found this before I banged away at the keyboard for two hours. Thanks for the work.
