DTR: Define the Relationship
Template for DTR Memo
Project: Brownfield of Dreams
Group Member Names: Maria Torres and Meghan Stang
Goals and Expectations for the Project (What does each group member hope to get out of this project? What do we want to achieve as a team? How will we know that we're successful?):
Maria- I'd like to finish with time to spare to refactor and dry up code.
Meg- I'd like to get a better understanding of consuming APIs, and develop some muscle memory. I'd also like to finish the whole project as well.
Team strengths & collaboration styles:
We are both very flexible with collaboration styles. We can work at school or remotely.
How we can use our strengths to overcome obstacles:
We are both good communicators and we can overcome obstacles verbally wether code or other relationship problems.
Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually? What constraints do we have?):
Meg- I can't work at lunches.
Maria- I don't love working at mornings, but I'm very flexible with my schedule other than that.
Communication Expectations (How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open? How will we make decisions as a team?):
We will try and do nightly stand ups after working on the project for the day, reviewing what was completed and what's next.
Abilities & Growth Expectations (Technical strengths and areas for desired improvement):
Meg- Consuming API's, TDD
Maria- BDD
Workload Expectations (What features do we each want to work on?):
We will both try and divy up the work so that we work on equal content.. no one gets left out of learning a topic.
Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests/Debugging and Problem-solving Techniques):
We will use the project managing tool on GitHub.
We will not approve our own pull requests.
Expectations for giving and receiving feedback:
In person, slack, whatever's easiest.
