This is the beginning of a reading list that pulls together academic research from the field of Public Administration. This research is relevant to the design of modern digital services with a focus on co-designing those services with users, and many other concepts and ideas currently floating around in the world of civic tech.
I have found all of these papers useful, and I'll add to this list as I have a chance to read more.
Sadly, not all of these papers are freely available - which may be why more people in civic tech are not aware of the large body of research on coproduction that exists within the Public Administration discipline. I hope that changes soon.
