Project: Night Writer
Group Member Names: Alex Fosco, Molly Brown
Project Expectations: What does each group member hope to get out of this project?
Goals and expectations: A good pairing experience, a better understanding of TDD, file I/O, and a more organized final project.
Schedule Expectations: When are we available to work together and individually?
Have time reserved (aprox. 2 hours) each day to pair after class. Allot extra time for Screenhero when necessary.
Communication Expectations: How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open?
Utilize Slack. Set goals for every meeting/ pairing to keep us on the same page.
Abilities Expectations: Technical strengths and areas for desired improvement?
Technical strengths include basic understaning of ruby syntax. Desire to improve TDD, and utilizing classes and defining methods to better organize program.
Workload Expectations: What features do we each want to work on?
Ultimate goal of rotating partners, one writes method the other writes test for said method.
Workflow Expectations: Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests
While pairing one person makes submissions for duration of two pomodoros then switch.
Expectations for giving and receiving feedback: Give/receive at the beginning and end of every pairing session. Redefine our goals.
Agenda to discuss project launch: Saturday brainstorm session to workthrough GitHub workflow together and define project outline going forward.
Ideas: Research project on own personal time. Establish basic plan and schedule on Saturday. Pair work after class everyday during next week.
Tools: Utilize Trello to organize project workflow. Pomodoro clock to keep track of pairing roles and github submissions.
