Here are the questions:

- Name, current cohort, current module

Jai Misra
1505
Module 2

- Where are you from?

Washington, D.C. Metro Area

- What were you doing before Turing?

I worked at an immigration advocacy non-profit at a J-1 visa sponsorship program. We helped international students and professionals obtain short-term visas for work-based training programs in the United States. Some of the students whose visas we sponsored were programmers and computer science students, and I learned about the field during conversations I had with them over Skype.

-Why are you learning to code?

I want to learn to program so I will have a creative medium through which to represent my dreams. My goal is to help others transform their ideas into something tangible they can interact with. I am interested in the creative possibilities of programming-- the fact that you can build with your imagination and define your own constraints.

-What do you want to do after Turing?

My main criteria are 1) I want to go somewhere where I can learn the most and develop my skills, and 2) I want to go somewhere that will further me on the path of starting my own thing one day. I think I would be most successful in a supportive work environment with inquisitive people.

-What should we know about you? (interesting fact(s), things you're passionate about, etc.)

I like to talk a lot and listen to people's life stories. I am always interested in learning new perspectives on living.
