Live Torrent Trackers

I was hacking on a little side-project, and found that most lists of torrent trackers are full of defunct trackers, or lots of dupes. I spent a while going through all the lists on the first few pages of Google, compiling them into a giant list, de-duping it, and then writing some quick code to test all of them.

Also, an aside: "/announce" on the end of a UDP URL doesn't make any sense. It's completely ignored at the protocol level, so I normalized entries by removing it.

I don't endorse any of these trackers, nor suggest you use them for committing copyright infringement.

Straight list

These trackers all respond to at least some scrape queries:

I then tried to map tracker names to IPs, because sometimes a given tracker has multiple names, or a retired tracker will point its hostname at an existing tracker.

This is a list of each IP and all the known tracker hostnames. (Sometimes it's multiple ports, or HTTP + UDP.)

@n1zyy Thank you for this, it's an interesting project!

It looks like glotorrents.pw and tracker.skyts.net are down at the moment.

Would it be possible to automatically generate this list with updated statistics?

Also, if a site gets retired but there is a successor it would be cool to include that info here as well. Then we could add the old domain and new IP into our hosts file (on Windows) so that the dead torrents could continue to work ;)

Hi. Am currently testing that list (Which should be separated by one linefeed, for copy/paste purposes), but I just did a google on this torrent.gresille.org, which always appear every now and then, and is also always offline/Not availble.
So, I thought it might be blocked or something.
The reason for that thought is that I did a WHOIS and found the IP on it, and tried that in the browser. As I'm using firefox, I got a huge warning about unsafe content - yada- yada-yada... I ignored that, and et voila, I got on a page which unfortunately was in french, and google translate refused to do the job on it. So, I'm guessing it's blacklisted somehow.

So, any thoughts/ideas about this?
