Success at Enjoy came from finding and living out the values I see as most important. These values being Experience Obsessed, Winning Together and the one I hold one above the rest, Kindness. I believe if we start with Kindness, no matter what we are doing, creating, or providing, as long as we act with integrity, help others generously and care for them selflessly, we'll have success.

I have benefited from working closely with Ron Johnson, and hand in hand with Tom Suiter, creating what the Experience is today for customers and employees across the world. Experience Obsessed wasn't just the words we'd throw around; it is how we found success. A highlight for me is to note that I spent just as much time on creating the employee experience as I did on creating the customer's side. Happy, healthy, and satisfied employees shined.

Much of my time was spent with the software engineering team to produce the software our employees and customers interact with. Never have I seen a group more excited about their work and truthful in their desire to continual learning and doing better. Many encouraged, and thankfully so, a career change to a creative and stimulating field.

Hey Matthew, I appreciate that you've brought in a lot of values here that you live and make decisions by. However, reading this as is, it comes across a story about Enjoy and not a story about you. I also don't know the people that you're referencing here, so that adds to the disconnect. Digging a little deeper, I can see how you're outlining the transferable skills you're bringing from your previous career into your career as a software developer -- namely, managing employees and creating satisfactory user experiences. You can expand on these points to make the connection to your new career. You mention that others encouraged you to switch careers, but why did you as an individual decide to make that change? What sparked that interest and passion for you? And then, what do you want to do in this career now? Are you planning on going back to Enjoy? Or do something else? Focusing on the answers to these questions will help personalize this more to you. Let me know if you want to talk about this feedback further!
