Q: How to set an icon for some file types throughout the whole system?
For example, I have text files that ends with .scala extension and I want to associate an icon for that files through the whole system and for any newly created file of this extension.

A: How to set an icon for a file type on Mac!
This is a collection of git commands I tend to need from time to time but never remember them. That's why I keep them here so I can access them whenever I need to :)
Completely remove a file/folder from history
If you ever add a file/folder to a branch that you don't want to have there (because it's too large or because it contains sensitive data like passwords etc.), you can make git forget about the file/folder completely, i.e., even the history won't remember the file.
# Remove all paths passed from the history of the repo git filter-branch --index-filter "git rm -rf --cached --ignore-unmatch <FILES>" HEAD
