gtx3071r gen 2 externally wastegated turbo kit and tial q50 bov.
full 3" exhaust (catless downpipe)
depo 5.5 beast intercooler
depo intake/chargepiping
sp63 4 port injection kit
fuel-it ethanol sensor (download app from appstore on your phone and read fuel-it's instructions)
map 1 e50 24-25 psi
map 2 e50 28 psi
map 3 e30 24-25 psi
map 4 93 pump non performance tune 17-18 psi. (not a performance tune. Strictly put on ther for normal driving and very very very restricted)
When tuning the car I was attemping to blend the port injection fuel with the cars oem fuel system so that the car always had good fuel
pressure. Most tuners if not all, use the port injection as an auxillary fuel and only spray it when the car starts to lean out
so the fuel pressure still drops on the hpfp side. This is not ideal, in addition 93 and e40 have differnnt stoichs so the car will
pull out a lot of fuel on a 93 octane tune unless you reflash the port injection controller with a map that contains less fuel. This is also not ideal.
I was working on a strategy to blend the aux fuel with the car by modifying the VE model. While this does work it's not recommended.
I highly recommend a retune and I recommend only stratified because as of recent, Alex has figured out how to blend the aux fuel while
keeping the VE model accurate which is better because load dictates everything on this car and load is air mass. He's the only tuner capable
of this at the moment that I'm aware of and it's essentially what I was trying to do with the current tune on the focus st.
The car has been sitting for a year and I recommend the following.
1 bottle of lucas fuel injector cleaner tossed in with a full tank
A new depo intake pipe http://www.deporacing.us/shop/ford/2015-ford-focus-st-intake-kit-no-filter/
(I ran a baby 35 shot of spray on the x37 hybrid turbo and I sprayed it into the intake pipe. I welded it shut, however it creates that choppy noise you hear under boost)
4 new spark plugs. NGK 6510 gapped at 0.025 (plugs only last 8-9k miles on a car with this much cylinder pressure anyways)
A retune with stratified tuning, it will make the car a monster. His maps are unreal and his boost response is the best. He has at least at minimum
10 years of experience over me with tuning. It will cost $525 for a remap, but I promise it's absoltely worth it.
