PAIRIN results reflection

  • What is your greatest strength and how do you know? What is my greatest strength? My greatest strength is my desire to pursue knowledge in to how things work and how to make them work. I know that this is my greatest strength because in all of my past endeavours, I have always seeked constructive criticism from supervisors and peers on how I could improve my skillset in order to provide the best product that I possibly could.
  • How do you work best? The way that I work best is in a group setting. Although I enjoy working on my own from time to time, working in a group setting allows for greater collaboration and facilitates the sharing of ideas and knowledge.
  • What is your greatest area of improvement? The area that I need the most improvement on, is my self-confidence. This area needs the most improvement because there are times where i question my ability to solve a problem even though I know the information or know how to find the information.
  • How do you hope to maximize your strengths for your new career in software development? The way that I plan to utilize my strengths to my advantage in a career in Software Development is by utilizing my desire for aditional knowledge and professional growth. Technology is constantly changing, this requires us to be willing to change with it or be left behind.
  • How might knowing about your strengths and working preferences benefit you as a software developer? Knowing my strenghts in seeking knowledge and knowing how things work as well as my preference to work with others will benefit me in a career in Software Development because unlike in other career fields where there may not be as much change in technology as there is in software development. Knowing where my strenghts are will allow me to more easily adjust to potential changes that occur in the workplace. Additionally, knowing your strenghts will help you more easily identify your weakneses so that you can work on those as well.
