Feature Sponsoring

When people want to have new features or things fixed, we kindly ask them for support us. We tell them to make a support contract with the sustainability initiative https://www.opengis.ch/qgis-support/ to finance a custom development https://www.opengis.ch/custom-development/ to sponsor on Github https://github.com/sponsors/opengisch. But it would be nice to be leaded to a contact form, where they can enter the feature they want and tell us how much they wills sponsor. Something like that.

Manual Testing

  • Manual Test Cases and Projects needed (I think Lucie is on it)
  • Browserstack - free Open Source Account. Nice testing on a lot of different devices.
  • Kiwi TCMS - more a list of tests that should be made manually

Testing Automated

Automated tests on Browserstack in Combination with Espresso (or Appium) But it needs some time to build the tests...

Example responds on Google Console Review

Thanks for the review...

Thinks it's not good enough:

Maybe the Version 1.6 released last Wednesday can get us more stars from you?

We just released version 1.6. Would be great to receive your feedback on it and - if you like it - some more stars.

Sorry to hear you're having a slow experience...

Bugs:

Unfortunately we can not reproduce. Can you please give us some more details at field boundary mapping

Can you precise, please?

Hi, sorry to hear that you're having troubles. Could you please be a little more specific about what is not working?

Hopefully we can solve it soon and get the five stars

Regressions:

Thanks for reporting. We noticed this regression as well and are trying to find a solution.

Positive comment but not enough stars:

If you really like QField, then we would be very happy, getting the 5 ***** :)

Wording in Changelog

First I defined a static wording: Like we would say in advance of every point "This new patch includes the/a..." and then e.g. - fix of disappearing map - stable structure of form etc. This looked nice as the whole but the single sentences where not that nice (lots of "of") so we decieded to mix it a little. Matthias agreed that it sounds sympatic to be mixed. And strait forward. Examples: System loader dialog on installing QField - Fixes the blank screen on resume - Request external storage permition on time - Nice speed boost for complex vector layers by enabling rendering optimization - Finds the correct parent layer on invalid value relation widgets with the help of the QGIS layer resolver - Default elevation ellipsoidal on NMEA positioning and the setting to use orthometric altitude from device
