Here are the simple steps needed to create a deployment from your local GIT repository to a server based on this in-depth tutorial.
You are developing in a working-copy on your local machine, lets say on the master branch. Most of the time, people would push code to a remote server like github.com or gitlab.com and pull or export it to a production server. Or you use a service like deepl.io to act upon a Web-Hook that's triggered that service.
FROM php:7.2-fpm | |
# Replace shell with bash so we can source files
RUN rm /bin/sh && ln -s /bin/bash /bin/sh
# make sure apt is up to date
RUN apt-get update --fix-missing
RUN apt-get install -y curl
RUN apt-get install -y build-essential libssl-dev zlib1g-dev libpng-dev libjpeg-dev libfreetype6-dev |
See how a minor change to your commit message style can make a difference.
Tip
Have a look at git-conventional-commits , a CLI util to ensure these conventions and generate verion and changelogs
