Kancolle 2014/10/24 Update Notes

1. Second Remodel for Fusou Implemented

The nameship of the Fuso class of battleships has received a further remodel.

  • Requires a blueprint
  • Remodels at Lv. 80

2. Additional Voices for Fusou Implemented

Additional voices for Resupplying, Idling and Marriage have been added for Fusou Kai. Fusou Kai 2 has a new Homeport voice.

3. New Missions Implemented

6 new quests have been implemented:

  • "Secure the marine transport routes!" (海上輸送路の安全確保に努めよ！)
    • Weekly
    • Reward: ?
  • "Form the Nishimura Fleet again!" (「西村艦隊」を再編成せよ！)
    • One-time
    • Form a fleet consisting of Fusou, Yamashiro, Mogami, Shigure and Michishio.
    • Reward: ?, Enhancement Material x3
  • "Advance to Southern Region with Nishimura Fleet!" (「西村艦隊」南方海域へ進出せよ！)
    • One-time
    • Send your newly reformed Nishimura Fleet to Map 5-? and get a ? against the boss.
    • Reward: ?, Medal x1
  • "Prepare the Upgrade Arsenal!" (改修工廠を準備せよ！)
    • One-time
    • Set Akashi as the flagship of your first fleet
    • Reward: Fuel x100, Steel x100, Enhancement Material x5

    • Enhance a weapon at the Upgrade Arsenal

4. Artillery Weapons Modified

With the focus on medium caliber artillery, some equipment have received very minor upgrades. These are:

  • 14cm Naval Gun (red)
    • +1 Firepower (1 → 2)
    • +1 Accuracy (0 → 1)
  • 15.2cm Naval Gun (yellow)
    • +1 Firepower (1 → 2)
    • +0 Accuracy (1 → 1)
  • 15cm Twin Gun Mount (yellow)

  • 15.2cm Twin Gun Mount (red)

  • 15.5cm Triple Gun Mount (red)

  • 38cm Twin Gun Mount
    • +1 Firepower (15 → 16)
    • +0 Anti-Air (1 → 1)
    • +0 Accuracy (1 → 1)

The following new equipment has been added:

  • 14cm Twin Gun Mount (14cm連装砲)

6. Minor Upgrades for Shipgirls

The following shipgirls have received very minor upgrades:

  • Nagato Kai and Mutsu Kai have received minor boosts to their maximum armour and base luck
    • Nagato Kai
      • +3 Armour (95 → 98)
      • +2 Luck (30 → 32)
    • Mutsu
      • +3 Armour (95 → 98)
      • +1 Luck (5 → 6)
  • Ise Kai and Hyuuga Kai have received minor boosts to their maximum armour and the number of planes they can carry.
    • Ise Kai
      • +3 Armour (89 → 92)
      • +3 Planes (44 → 47)
        • +3 to 4th slot (11 → 14)
    • Hyuuga Kai
      • +5 Armour (87 → 92)
      • +3 Planes (44 → 47)
        • +3 to 4th slot (11 → 14)
    • You need to resupply them to get the new plane count.

7. Fixes for Graphics for Shipgirls

A bug was fixed that occasionally caused the damaged art for a number of shipgirls not to be displayed properly. The affected girls were:

  • Asashio
  • Michishio
  • Hyuuga

8. New System, the "Upgrade Arsenal", Implemented

A new system, the "Upgrade Arsenal" has been implemented. If your secretary ship is set to Akashi or Akashi Kai, you will be able to access Akashi's arsenal, the "Upgrade Arsenal" from the Home port. From here, you will also be able to enhance equipment.

9. Regarding the "Upgrade Arsenal" (pt. 1 of 3)

In order to enhance a weapon at the "Upgrade Arsenal", you will require equipment, resources, development material, and an "Enhancement Material". Enhanced equipment will have a ★ mark displayed. When the enhancement level of the equipemnt is low, the success rate will be high. But as the enhancement level increases, the success rate will decrease.

  • There is an option to guarantee the success of the enhancement, but selecting it will increase the amount of development and enhancement materials required.

10. Regarding the "Upgrade Arsenal" (pt. 2 of 3)

You will be able to endlessly obtain the "Enhancement Material" required to make use of the "Upgrade Arsenal" from Quests and such. While you will be able to pay to obtain more or exchange Medals for them, "Enhancement Materials" have also been added to the rewards for existing quests and you will also be able to exchange Furniture Coins for them.

11. Regarding the "Upgrade Arsenal" (pt. 3 of 3)

If you enhance an equipment to its maximum, it will be upgraded to a superior piece of equipment. However, the enhancement level of the equipment will be reset to 0, so be careful.

  • If the superior piece of equipment is already widely available via Development, the new equipment will receive a +3 bonus to the enhancement level.

Confirmed Upgrades:

  • 12.7cm Twin Gun Mount → 12.7cm Twin Mount Type-B Kai 2
  • 14cm Naval Gun → 14cm Twin Gun Mount (new gun)
  • 61cm Quad Torpedo Mount → 61cm Quad O₂ Torpedo Mount
  • 61cm Quad O₂ Torpedo Mount → 61cm Quint O₂ Torpedo Mount
  • 20.3cm Twin Gun Mount → 20.3cm(no.2) Twin Gun Mount
  • 35.6cm Twin Gun Mount → Prototype 35.6cm Triple Gun Mount

12. To Admirals who don't have Akashi

To all the admirals who don't have Akashi, you will have a chance of encountering Akashi from maps 1-5 and 2-5 during the upcoming Autumn event!

  • Apparently she is already obtainable from 1-5.

13. Tips regarding the "Upgrade Arsenal"!

  • The equipment that you can enhance will be partially refreshed each weekday.
  • If you set certain ship(s) into the 2nd slot of your fleet, the equipment may change as well. Confirmed ones so far are:
    • Ooi and Kitakami allow you to enhance your 61cm Quad O₂ Torpedo Mount
    • Aoba and Kinugasa allow you to enhance your 20.3cm Twin Gun Mount
    • Fusou and Yamashiro allow you to enhance your 35.6cm Twin Gun Mount
  • If you remodel Akashi to Akashi Kai, the success rate for enhancing equipment with high enhancement levels will increase

14. Buin and Tawi-Tawi servers expanded

During today's maintenance, the Buin Naval Base and Tawi-Tawi Anchorage server groups were strengthened.
