An open letter to Microsoft

Dear Microsoft,

Please, PLEASE stop pushing linking a Microsoft Account to my computer profile. I can't for technical reasons, and yet you do the following:

  • Automatically make my Local Account a Microsoft Account when signing in to the Microsoft Store
  • Removing the option to change it
  • Having technical support require remote access to fix an issue you made

This is stupid, and a lot of people agree. Please stop.

Nvidia's Censorship

Nvidia's Censorship

After being banned from eBay forever, I am making this gist to explain the cases where Nvidia is censoring people being mad about the scalper controversy.

The Forums

(Certainty: 100%) The Nvidia Forums are being censored left and right. You see a post saying that Nvidia isn't doing their job, and you refresh and it's gone.

The Discord

(Certainty: 50%) The Nvidia (unofficial) Discord is banning people that talk about the scalper issue.

eBay

(Certainty: 70%) Although it may not be related to Nvidia, eBay is banning accounts that fight back against the scalpers by making a huge bid and not paying for it. They also gave me a $5 coupon (that I can't use) after that just to add insult to injury.

The incidents here may be updated.

Chapter 1: Installing and Applying 64-bit Java

  2. Download "Windows Offline (64-bit)".
  3. Run it as admin and follow the instructions.

Debloating Nox

Nox, despite being the most feature-filled Android emulator, has a lot of negativity surrounding it due to their antics when it comes to making income off of their program. It is known for running repeated advertisments in the background, calling home and passing along system information (outside of your Android instance) as well as a vast amount of potentially sensitive data in an encrypted payload back to their multitude of servers. With the following preventitive measures, we can stop a majority of this happening as well as greatly improve the overall performance.

  1. Download and Install a fresh copy of Nox. The latest version is fine (for now). If you already have it installed, that is fine too. No need to reinstall.

  2. Enable Root Mode on Nox by clicking the gear icon and then checking the Root Startup box.

  3. Install a new Launcher from the Play Store. ANYTHING but Nox's default. I suggest [Nova Launcher](https://play.google.com/s
