Priorities

This is my backlog of things I would like to finish before the end of September.

• Migrate todo lists from strikeapp.com & field notes (see below) 💸
• ‘Study’ for October 3 SATs (1 hour/err’day) 👓
• Send final copy of transit ad to client (on Wed 23) ⌚
• Follow up with Technical.ly on PennApps post (on Thurs 24) 📲
• Send a bunch of contacts accumulated in the past 2 months (by Fri 25) 📇
• Thank specific people (by Fri 25) 😸
• Kindly respond to 80+ college emails (by Fri 25) 📬
• Embrace Pope visit instead of running away! (PS Good luck in Baltimore @iliterobotics, you’ll need it! 👋)
• Show missionary group from Panama around town (on Fri 25)
• Try to bike back in time for Sunday night charity meeting (on Sun 27)
• Hoard NJ Transit tickets before 9% fare hike (by Oct 1)
• Finish Summer Wrap-Up blog post (Spoiler: I made $36 traveling the east coast this summer and couldn’t be happier) 🌞

HackRU

A semi-annual hackathon at Rutgers, October 3-4 at College Av Student Center: http://hackru.org

• Do outreach to PA/NJ high schools 👉

• Get Rutgers Admissions involved

• Confirm time for high school meetup

  6pm Saturday Oct 3 😉

• Have it listed in event schedule 📆

• Connect Rutgers Admissions with HackRU organizers (on Thurs 24)

• Confirm Rutgers Admissions attendance

• Reach out to RU & local newspapers

• Bring unicorn hoodie to HackRU, wear it 🐴

• Bring Facebook notepads and cameras 👊

• Promote charity fundraisers ❤️

• Set up 1-on-1 mentor table(s) at HackRU (aka my Code Castle) 🏰

• Coordinate with HackRU admissions and organizers

• Catch 3:11 SB train from New Brunswick, swap to 3:59 at Trenton, arrive Con Center 4:54 for U30, buy weekly 🚋 🎉 💳

HS Hackathons Launch

A community resource for student-run high school hackathons in the United States 🇺🇸 and Canada 🍁. Below is a checklist of things related to the launch of HSHackathons.com (todos before this aren’t shown.)

• Get a team together for meetings

• Discuss platform options

  We chose to use GitHub pages to embrace the open source ethos and make it easier for the community to contribute. Also, Jekyll is amazing!

• Discuss information architecture with team

  We agreed to use YAML. The implications means that adding an event is as simple as a pull request!
