Strings

String.prototype.*

None of the string methods modify this – they always return fresh strings.

  • charAt(pos: number): string ES1

    Returns the character at index pos, as a string (JavaScript does not have a datatype for characters). str[i] is equivalent to str.charAt(i) and more concise (caveat: may not work on old engines).

What is a parser combinator?

We'll answer the above question in 2 steps.

  1. What is a parser?
  2. and, what is a parser combinator?

So first question: What is parser?

An ES6 implementation of the debounce function. "Debouncing enforces that a function not be called again until a certain amount of time has passed without it being called. As in 'execute this function only if 100 milliseconds have passed without it being called.'" - CSS-Tricks (https://css-tricks.com/the-difference-between-throttling-and-debounc…
function debounce(callback, wait, immediate = false) {
let timeout = null
return function() {
const callNow = immediate && !timeout
const next = () => callback.apply(this, arguments)
clearTimeout(timeout)
timeout = setTimeout(next, wait)
