  • 2 April 2022: the male preacher propositioned me for sex. he wanted to submit himself to me. I thought this was rather bizarre. What did I do? I renounced my christian faith, as I figure that any real god would punish this man and not have him remain a leader among the faithful
  • 2 April 2022: communists should be added to a public registry, so people know who is and is not a communist. now, in the past i have been accused of being a communist. however, I enjoy shopping far too much to be a real communist. I've also been accused of being a fascist. Meh, whatever

  • 2 April 2022: there's just so many holidays already. Such as columbus day, which is a fake holiday due to the fact that the Vikings discovered north america. Perhaps we need a viking holiday or a viking awareness month
  • 2 April 2022: does mlk day really need to be a holiday?
  • 2 April 2022: the idea of the hague and an international court is remarkably unacceptable

  • 31 March 2022: could you imagine how silly it would be for anyone to come to america from abroad and claim to be an american? The irish wouldn't tolerate fake irishmen and we wouldn't tolerate a fake american neither
  • 31 March 2022: Then you have these self-styled irishmen. I thought that when american marcus "the irish hand grenade" davis went to Ireland he changed his moniker due to The Troubles, but I bet that irish people were like "this guy isn't irish and the fans know that and will think less of him"
  • 31 March 2022: If I were residents of spanish fork, utah I would vote to rename the city "fork." To that end, naming your portland business "philly" this, or "nyc" that, or "dutch bros" is asking for trouble due to the fact that we are in portland but also america.
  • 31 March 2022 (live): Id like to know exactly what a spanish fork is, how it's different than a regular fork, and what the hell it's doing in utah

  • 31 March 2022: al capone's parents? immigrants. we know how that story goes
  • 31 March 2022: this article "on the idea of negro interiority" would cause quite the uproar if brought to light in many places. all you need is a library card to read this and countless other articles on every topic under the sun https://www.jstor.org/stable/2708515

  • 31 March 2022: dc is overun with career politicians, lobbyists and strange internationals; of course electing a judge from that den of evil to the supreme court is absolutely laughable
  • 31 March 2022: Why yes, yes I am suspicious of anyone even tangentially associated with "the district" https://twitter.com/itsmikebivins/status/1509343667831533571
  • 31 March 2022: this supreme court nominee is a d.c. fraudster 👎

  • 30 March 2022 (live): *saying "you can't leave the country" seems even more extreme than telling people they cannot enter, yet it happened during an emergency. are we not in an emergency? Americans would have kids, but as the article says, in the 19th century we stopped having kids due to immigrants
  • 30 March 2022 (live): This 1896 @TheAtlantic article by francis walker has me convinced that closing the borders is more than a century overdue. FYI: the borders for exit were closed when jfk was killed, so it's not as if a massive migration law crackdown is unprecedented https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/1896/06/restriction-of-immigration/306011/

  • 30 March 2022: Interesting that this book refers to yiddish as half jewish and half german "jargon" rather than a language. It also says "the sedentary jews are physically inferior to the sedentary russians." it's interesting to read something in print from 1899 that today would be criticized pic.twitter.com/VX3MW7ESnh

  • 28 March 2022: could you imagine being a young professional, getting your assignment and saying: "chicago..." right before that stark realization that you are slated to be "the bad guy" sets in
  • 27 March 2022: Savvy of the businessowner to make sure the media found out in order to generate free pr off of a war half a world away. There's no news headline to be gained from doing the right thing, which would have been filling those jobs with americans
  • 27 March 2022 (live): i was reading about how a local russian store is giving jobs to ukranian refugees. if these jobs were available then why didn't they hire americans instead of waiting until now for desperate people who will be easier for a boss to control?
  • 19 January 2022 (live): This is historic

  • 18 January 2022: Here is an example of an asvab question I was fed by instagram's algorithm. I would consider this a difficult math question based on the questions I saw, but for many this question is not difficult pic.twitter.com/ZGSjH5ore6
  • 15 January 2022: I owed a couple thousand for my hernia surgery as well. Never paid that either
  • 15 January 2022 (live): Now you want to pay small businesses, but a giant corporation is not going to notice you welching on your debt
  • 15 January 2022 (live): When t mobile acquired sprint I thought there was going to be trouble, but sprint never said anything. Now I owe sprint money and I don't plan on ever paying them either. Is a gigantic corporation going to take me to court over a few hundred dollars? Unlikely
  • 15 January 2022 (live): At this point if I check my credit whatever iirc you can request to have the debt removed. My ex-wife kept telling me to give them the money but I refused. I feel like that's a small victory that I can feel good about
  • 15 January 2022 (live): Yesterday at my usps po box I saw what was certainly a hospital bill and a bill from an ambulance company. I didn't bother to open them. instead, i threw them directly into the recycling bin. In fact, I've owed t mobile money for more than a decade. They never got that money
  • 15 January 2022: I got this flag etiquette pamphlet from the Army recruiter office and it says the US flag should never be used as clothing, which I would have to assume includes flag masks. Why would you want to breathe smelly breath all over the flag anyway? Seems like a strange thing to do pic.twitter.com/HfrNrNU4k1
  • 12 January 2022 (live): Instagram is also owned by Facebook, and Facebook is the devil, which makes Instagram in league with the devil. But what about Twitter? Twitter is a news app
  • 12 January 2022: I deleted my instagram account as it really serves no purpose outside of vanity and anti-bordom
  • 12 January 2022: I'd kill for sunshine. Gloomy weather is lame
  • 12 January 2022 (live): It was quite a few months ago, but those ?'s got me thinking "hey this test isn't impossible & I shouldn't doubt myself." It was definitely the most challenging test I've ever taken due to the length. Also: the @MultCoLib had a study guide that helped a lot
  • 12 January 2022: Haven't been this stressed out since I balled out on the asvab. Interestingly, my first brush with the US military's asvab (armed services vocational aptitude battery) test was via the @USNationalGuard 's Instagram. The algorithm will feed you practice questions if ur in that mode
  • 11 January 2022: "the papers want to know who's shirt you're wearing." All of the white t shirts and the few button ups in the fleet are from @Target . I have a few Pendletons, and a blue target jacket which hasn't seen much action lately. Oh, and a @Powells t shirt
  • 11 January 2022: I only do pushups once a week or so. I'll maybe get in a chest workout with machines and free weights once a week, which helps. I've been doing a lot more core workouts which I imagine also helps with, well, everything physical
  • 11 January 2022 (live): 46 pushups. Not bad I suppose

  • 31 December 2021: People wanna know why after 15+ years I would resign? Money. Normally, what happens at work stays at work, and for 15+ years that was my policy. But I know everyone is dying to know what happened. It was a money thing. A unit left a note at the front desk saying "don't leave"
  • 31 December 2021: I basically rewrote the book on being a huc. But I couldn't get the money I deserved, so I decided to pick up my chips and go to a different table. Like I said, I loved the job, loved the people, but we couldn't get to yes on a measly few dollars an hour and a permanent post
  • 31 December 2021: Do you think I could get a few more dollars an hour? It was like trying to pull teeth. If I could have gotten a few more dollars an hour I would still be at OHSU. But I felt disrespected. I was doing unheard of things, which--out of professional courtesy--will not divulge
  • 31 December 2021: At OHSU I was in the Float Pool, and with God as my witness I felt like I was a rockstar on tour. I was ridiculously good at that job. I loved it. But I need money to live and I wanted to get stationary, but I knew my worth and wanted (only) a few dollars more an hour
  • 31 December 2021: I'm not even going to go into it deeply, but put it this way: where medical records are concerned it would not be unheard of for me to scan 100 pages in one batch, which is more than some other secretaries (Health Unit Coordinator) would scan in an entire week or more
  • 30 December 2021: My understanding is that the only hang-up is ohsu sending the army my records. I'd like to think the holidays and the economy and such are the holdup, but being intimately acquainted with OHSU and paperwork (I was a secretary for them) there are many up there who let it pile up
  • 30 December 2021 (live): After I got the asvab score the recruiter told me "you qualify for everything we're going to give you " I dig it
  • 30 December 2021 (live): I said to myself "you know what Mike? If you're gonna be a bit player for the rest of your life then you had better go work for the best." Reminds me of Scott Hall talking about wanting to work for the wwf. "Everyone who works for Vince is a star," including full-time jobbers
  • 30 December 2021 (live): Oh what the hell. What prompted all of this big change was my burning desire to join the military. The @USArmy is processing my paperwork right now. I got an 82 on the asvab which means 82nd percentile according to the recruiter. I guess that means I've got a half decent mind

  • 30 September 2021: im without, but there are now several people in posession of a @Dodgers hat! i remember an adult at an assembly in the 3rd grade saying “i wear two hats” and i thought she literally wore two hats, which i thought was silly 🙄 DONATE CLOTHES! someone needs them more than you❤️
  • 30 September 2021 (live): fyi:i got superstitious about the color of my @Dodgers hats so i donated all of them to the union gospel mission. in fact, i literally donated like half my clothes to them (again: got superstitious about wearing the wrong colors as a white guy) pretend i own a blue dodgers hat!

  • 17 August 2021: what happens in the gym stays in the gym yadda yadda. it was 15 years ago so im gonna speak on it. i duno whether it was right or wrong. but it happened. one reason i didnt wanna go doqn that path—i didnt think i had what it takes to hang in the shark tank. so i just wrestled
  • 17 August 2021: next day—iirc—dude comes in, future world champion, green to mma, about my size, asks me to throw knees. im like “how hard?” he’s like “just throw em.” he wanted to practice blocking the knee as he shoots and im like ok. my knees probs weren’t great, i was willing to help tho
  • 17 August 2021: so many good stories from the gym. i wasnt in on this, but i heard from a couple people this good d1 wrestler took lindland down in mma practice. so he pulls up his knee sleeves, times it, bam, knocks the dude out. thats why they’d tell us not to drop to a knee on a double

  • 17 August 2021 (live): freestyle looks super intuitive, but submission wrestling is super practical. the idea is to make the person suffer as much as possible until their will is broken and finish them quickly or just catch them slippin. it’s rather barbaric at times. maybe that’s why i like it.
  • 17 August 2021 (live): huge regret? not “doing” freestyle wrestling. started watching a few years ago & it’s very exciting to watch, whereas my style—submission wrestling—was always boring to watch unless i knew the ppl involved. i think back to certain things i’d do & im like “that’s points in fs 🤦‍♂️”

  • 14 August 2021: pride has been the downfall of countless people. all they had to do was look another human in the eyes and admit they have a problem and make some adjustments, but they couldn’t do it. if strength is a move, then admitting you have a problem is like a thousand pound deadlift

  • 4 September 2020 (live): some people do use heel hooks in practice and they just say “catch” when they get it and immediately release. I’ve heard stories of high level dudes (not at lindland’s gym, diff pdx area gym) yelling as a joke but also a warning to be ready: “IM HOOKIN”
  • 4 September 2020 (live): (clarification: it’s called a slicer because you’re “slicing” into the muscle. it’s one of those moves you gotta be careful with otherwise you’ll fuck up someone’s muscle and whatever else is in there)
  • 4 September 2020 (live): another cool move I learned after class was a slicer that’s good (not something I’d do in a real scenario, but it’s fancy and worked sometimes in class) for using when you’re on top and the arm bar is in but you can’t break their grip. OG dudes are happy to help tough tong bucks
  • 4 September 2020 (live): i told him I just did a basic heel hook I learned after class one day, and that it was just right there for me. I brought this up years later to a good boxer/mma guy and he’s instantly like “oh yeah, they probably just told him to come at you to see how you’d react.”
  • 4 September 2020 (live): so like almost instantly after I started to crank it he started screaming “TAP TAP TAP!!!” and then he limped away. I followed him cuz I got caught in the moment and was worried about his knee. he just smiled and was like “man you gotta show me how you did that.”
  • 4 September 2020 (live): in my defense I honestly thought he was trying to kick my ass, like I was fighting my life on the matt against this fucking monster. problem with the heel hook is by the time they feel it and submit it’s already too late and ur knee is damaged
  • 4 September 2020 (live): well, I found myself on my back... and there was his ankle right there, so in a moment of desperation and panic—because it’s a major party foul to slam someone in practice as you could really hurt them—I instinctively scooped up his foot and cranked that heel hook
  • 4 September 2020 (live): he had about 20-25 pounds on me, and the coach for that class (even more BAMF, before he was a UFC bet) was clowning on my partner because he couldn’t put me away, so I think he got really frustrated and eventually he picked me up and slammed the piss out of me
  • 4 September 2020 (live): one day about 6 months in this BAMF my age but on the fight team appeared in class. we paired up for most of it and when it came time to go live things got turnt up. like, i really thought he was really trying to put me away without throwing punches. i was panicked
  • 4 September 2020 (live): the cool thing about rolling and chatting up the fighters and/or guys who had years of experience was they would show me moves that weren’t taught in class. dangerous moves like the heel hook. i learned a variation after class. have a story about that heel hook
  • 2 September 2020: and I’ll be frank with you, I read wheeler’s first tweet and thought “wow he can’t just address ppb brutally assaulting a protester without talking about his apartment building? FOH.” and I clicked on the FB post, saw the wall of text and thought “ain’t nobody got time for that”
  • 2 September 2020 (live): YES. many local politicians (not earl b or hardesty) seem incapable or unwilling to succinctly address critical issues using social media, and it’s been sickening to watch lately as they dance around the issues. they need to get off the fence and stop fucking around https://twitter.com/kzipes/status/1301140670548123648

  • 2 September 2020 (live): there was chris leben, matt lindland himself, & especially “judo” jon krohn (RIP! i loved learning his no-gi judo moves. plus he was one of the funniest people I ever met), ed herman. these guys (esp judo jon)didnt have bodies like super athletes, but were still world class
  • 2 September 2020 (live): im a big booster of successful heavyweights—like mark “the super samoan” hunt—who are 5’10. especially if they don’t have a chiseled body. one of the best takeaways from my time in matt lindland’s gym in gresham was that the toughest guys don’t always have a six pack.
  • 2 September 2020: my secret pass time is commenting on ig combat sports videos fed to me by the algorithm. if you post the crocop headkick that knocked mark hunt down but fail to mention the headkick he ate and seemed unpaused by then all I can think is you hate mark hunt https://www.instagram.com/p/CEhWnLLJhhU/?igshid=yah3y62vrrsr pic.twitter.com/PFUilsePVp

  • 30 August 2020: the second part of the interview with jay bishop got really weird as he went into some conspiracy about trimet and the max attack involving jeremy christian. when people’s worldview is that skewed then there’s absolutely no sense trying to remind them about reality

  • 8 August 2020: pro tip: telling your boss “no” is not necessarily “insubordination.” insubordination very serious, and specifically, is when you’re given a “valid” and “direct” order, with the consequences for failure to follow that order spelled out for you.

  • 6 August 2020 (live): damn. mike bluehair is on the extreme end of live broadcasts and youtube-oriented protest/cop watch activity but I would be shocked if whatever happened to him with regard to police was necessary, given it’s an interfering charge (contempt of cop, as he puts it) #portlandprotest https://twitter.com/retconmike/status/1291144670488047617

  • 9 April 2022: Watching the old Robin Hood cartoon and the corruption of the church is evident. Everyone is poor and starving yet somehow Friar Tuck is about as fat as the sheriff of Nottingham, who is very fat. The poor box is empty yet he remains fat. It's clear that he is embezzling money

  • 8 April 2022: Joe Biden is obviously senile. I was listening to Lars Larson the other day and Biden confused several non-adjacent countries. The only plausible explanation is that a puppet master has a hand ran up Biden's back. He's likely taking orders from Chicago crime boss Barack Obama.
  • 8 April 2022: Places like Texas, New York, California, Florida, & to a certain extent Ohio, behave as if they are countries unto themselves. These places need to be chopped down to size in order to dilute their power. Does that mean more states? Scary? Just get the borders & districts right

  • 7 April 2022 (live): now I will say that I have been flashed before by women multiple times, so this isn't unheard of. but I've never been groped by a strange non hair stylist woman. & as far as out of control carts, that is unheard of. women take a look and say "he's sitting on the great salt lake"
  • 7 April 2022 (live): and a hit and several near hits by women pushing shopping carts in the supermarket. women are smarter than men, and they know how to get our attention. • 7 April 2022 (live): & in that time period I've been groped in an antique shop; a young woman a few feet away looked at me, reached into her shirt and brought most of her breast out of her top; been in a store, then went to another store a few blocks away & a woman seemed to follow me (not uncommon)

  • 7 April 2022 (live): stop masturbating. if I can not do that for six months, you can too. I guarantee you that women know if you've jerked off recently, and that is hurting your chances significantly. a woman doesn't want to have to compete against women from the internet and your hand
